Rhythm of Rta

Rhythm of Rta is a quiet space in sound — Vedic mantra, breath, and the living sounds of nature woven into a gentle, meditative flow.

Recorded in the sacred forests of Kumano, Japan, the album carries mantra chanting by Aki Kinoshita, as wind, birds, and flowing water enter the microphone in real time.

It offers a pause within the noise of daily life — a place to rest, even for a moment, open to meditation or quiet reflection.

Inspired by "Ṛta", the ancient Vedic principle of cosmic order and natural law, the album invites a return — to stillness, to listening, to the rhythm already within.

Profile

Aki Kinoshita is an artist rooted in the teachings of mantra, exploring the possibilities of its sound through soundscapes where mantra and the natural world gently merge.

After studying electroacoustic music at Tama Art University, she encountered Vedic mantra in Japan. For more than a decade, she has traveled to Chennai in South India to study its chanting tradition, deepening her understanding of the power inherent in the sound of mantra.

She offers mantra as a resonance within the harmony of nature — alongside birdsong, wind, and flowing water — creating sonic spaces that invite listeners to return inward.

Her work is created in collaboration with her partner, Chaki. Through recording and mixing, they shape environments in which mantra, breath, and subtle natural presence can organically coexist.
